BY AIR:

There are three international airports in Georgia:

  1. Tbilisi International Airport
  2. Batumi International Airport 
  3. Kutaisi International Airport

 

BY ROAD:

Georgia is accessible to foreign travelers by road from Russian Federation, Republics of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey.

 

BY RAIL:

Transcaucasus Railway route from Baku (Azerbaijan) and Yerevan (Armenia) is in operation in Georgia today.

The rail link from Russian Federation is currently closed.

BY SEA:

The main international Black Sea ports of Georgia are Batumi Sea Port and Poti Sea Port. They provide international connections with different international maritime ports and other Black Sea ports.

 

 Border customs checkpoints

 

Border customs checkpoints and customs control zones

Crossing the customs border of Georgia is allowed during the working hours of the custom authorities in the areas specified in advance (from 09.00 until 18.00 in all customs checkpoints except „Tsiteli Khidi“, „Sadakhlo“, „Gardabani“, „Akhkerpi“, „Guguti“, „Mtkvari“, „Lagodekhi“, „Samtatskaro“, „Kazbegi“, „Vale“, „Ninotsminda“, „Tbilisi Airport“, „Sarpi“, „Batumi Airport“, „Kutaisi Airport“, „Senaki Airport“, „Batumi Port“ და „Poti Port“, where checkpoints are opened during 24 hours). Crossing the border at other places or during non-working hours of custom authorities with goods and by means of transportation is permitted with the Customs Department’s written agreement.

 

Crossing the customs border is possible in following border customs checkpoints:

Border customs checkpoints „Sarpi“, „Batumi Port“, „Batumi Airport“ - the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. They structurally are under subordination of the Customs authority of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara;

Border customs checkpoints „Tsiteli Khidi“, „Sadakhlo“, „Akhkerpi“, „Guguti“, „Mtkvari“, „Lagodekhi“, „Samtatskaro“, „Udabno“, „Sabatlo“, „Vashlovani“, „Tbilisi Airport“ – the territory of eastern Georgia, generally on the border of Georgia with Armenia and Azerbaijan. They structurally are under subordination of the regional Customs of “East”;

Border customs checkpoints „Kazbegi“ და „Gori“ - the northern territory of Georgia, on the border of Georgia with Russia. They structurally are under subordination of the regional Customs of “North”;

Border customs checkpoints „Vale“ და „Ninotsminda“ - the southern territory of Georgia, on the border of Georgia with Turkey and Armenia. They structurally are under subordination of the regional Customs of “South”;

Border customs checkpoints „Poti Port“, „Kutaisi Airport“, „Senaki Airport“, „Mamisoni“ - the territory of western Georgia. They structurally are under subordination of the regional Customs of “West”;

Border customs checkpoints „Gardabani“, „Sadakhlo“, „Poti“ - for goods transported by railway transport. They structurally are under subordination of the regional Customs of “Railway”.
